The Dust Trap
Best A/C Filter
sells a highly efficient filter, the Dust Trap. Dust Trap is a one
inch thick (nominal) filter. It is completely made of filter material,
versus the usual one thin layer. For a residential air filter one inch
in thickness is optimal. The filter has more filter material to
trap particles in the air, but still allows for excellent air flow.
It has three-way filtration system:
- Air passes through
a coarse open structure upstream which traps larger particles.
- A dense needled
downstream layer traps finer particles, yet still maintains good air
flow (300 ft. of air passes through per minute)
- A totally uniform
application of Dust Trap adhesive on the downstream fibers remove
fine particles of one micron or smaller
- Dual-ply dust-trap
is flame retardant, Class II listed with Underwriter's Laboratory,
and safe to handle.
- Dust-trap adhesive
will not migrate
- Dust-trap, with
Spor-Ax destroys a broad range of mold, mildew, common fungi, and
bacteria that are trapped in the filter, and prevents the growth of
microbes in the filter. Spor-Ax does not off-gas.
- Spor-Ax is registered
by the EPA and is under the regulations of the U.S.D.A. and F.D.A.

This filtration
method is the beauty of this filter - removing very fine particles
without sacrificing air flow. That is why it is the best.
We also sell
one type of filter called Absorber which has a layer of carbon filter.
It was designed to remove odor and smoke. But remember if the source
of odor and smoke exist it can only help some.
